Another trip is upon us, dear friends. This time, we jet off to London. I know what you are all thinking: what timing! Surely you are heading to England to pay your respects to the Queen, to attend the processions or the funeral with just about everyone else...Strangely, this trip was all planned months ago, when there was not even a hint of anything going awry with the Monarchy. Seems to be, when Mario and I travel, history just...happens. And so once again, we find ourselves being present just in time for a once-in-a-lifetime moment, and even though we do have some plans laid out already, we will try our hardest to be present in the city for any momentous events, with just about every other British citizen.

On the flipside, I am looking forward to re-experiencing London with renewed interest and eyes open, something I did not do when I travelled there in high school oh-so long ago. Funny what things mark you when you are 17 years old and travelling with friends. It certainly wasn't the history!
I am also excited to follow in the adventurous footsteps of another couple of great women, the great great St. James aunts, who ventured about London and left their mark there back in September of 1982. Mario and I also have plans to hunt down a couple of locations and photo-ops from that European tour, as well. It's going to be quite the trip, and I am very much looking forward to every moment. For now, our bags are packed and sitting by the door, and now all we have to do is wait until it is time.
Is it time yet?
See you all on the flipside -
